II. Course Information
CATALOG DESCRIPTION:
Pneumatic wheel. Motion resistances. General motion equations and constraints. Brake and brake
system equipment. Power transmission systems. Vehicles’ steering and front axle geometry. Cruising
mechanics and steering control.
COURSE PRECONDITIONS:
Only undergraduate students are accepted for the course
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: The objective of this course is to teach general structure of motor vehicles and
determine general system paarameters.
COURSE STRUCTURE: The class meets for two lectures a week, each consisting of two 50-minute sessions and a
Problem session of 50-minute duration.
