Therefore its loss seems to be more than the real. Infrastructure and operations are under the same Directorate General. Separation of accounts between Infrastructure and Operations will show the real income and cost. For restructuring of TCDD, the EU funded (4,2 Million €) Project (Twinning & Service Project and FMIS) was launched. Draft Laws concerning General Railway Sector and TCDD have been prepared [email protected] RESTRUCTURING RESTRUCTURING&&STRENGTHENING STRENGTHENING TURKISH TURKISHRAIL RAILSECTOR SECTOR(TWINNING) (TWINNING) The General Railway Framework Law establishes: the railway authority for supervising the railway companies and infrastructure manager (DG Railway Transport) Safety issues Licensing interoperability the infrastructure manager the accident investigating authority Regulatory Body for free access to infrastructure. Furthermore it lays down the safety requirements for railway undertakings and safety mangers, the basic principles for organization of railway undertakings and infrastructure managers, provisions for public service obligations and access rights to railway infrastructure.
