Another advantage of using Tencel® in the upholstery fabrics is
its being washable. The treatment of the fibres is quite easy
thanks to its high level stability (unshrinkability) and high resistance to wearing out. The removable upholstery fabrics can be
washed in washing machines without any problems and become
more hygienic in that way. Lenzing Home Textile Sales Manager
Susanne Jary said “With the use of Tencel® in upholstery fabrics,
we are one step forward in Botanic Home Life concept. With
increasing use of Tencel® Botanic Lounge introductory meeting

fibers are produces in Lenzing. Lyocell® fiber is per 3 years,
Modal® fiber is per 50 years, and Tencel® is per 25 years. The
market is closer to cotton. Tencel® is also a fiber close tot he cotton, and even it can resemble the cotton more than the cotton
due to ist qualities. Lenzing also works on technical textile.
Tencel can be used in the places requiring fiber resistance. We
can exemplify this with the automobile tires. In civil work or in
food sector there are file packs by which the fruits are carried, it
is used in these. Because the raw material of these files is nylon,
they do not disappear in natural, but when they are produced
with Tencel, they become materials which can disappear in
nature. Textile sector is going on the direction of the materials
recycled or disappearing when they are thrown into nature. We
have studies in that field. We are here to highlight our product
oriented to home textile sector; however, we also have the products used in the production of technical textile.”

Teknik tekstillerde de Lenzing çalışmalar yapıyor. Elyaf direnci
istenen yerlerde, Tencel’in yüksek direnci olduğu için kullanılabiliyor. Buna araba lastiklerini örnek verebiliriz. İnşaat sektöründe,
gıda sektöründe meyvelerin taşındığı file ambalajlar vardır, onlarda kullanılıyor. Bu filelerin hammaddesi naylon olduğundan
doğada kaybolmaz ancak Tencel ile üretildiğinde doğada yok
olan malzemeler haline gelirler. Tekstil sektörü, geri dönüşümlü
ya da doğaya atıldığında kaybolabilen yapıda ürünlere doğru
yöneliyor. Bu konuda çalışmalarımız var. Biz burada ev tekstili sektörüne yönelik ürünümüzü öne çıkartmak için geldik ancak bizim
de teknik tekstillerin üretiminde kullanılan ürünlerimiz bulunuyor.”
