1. RELIGIONS IN THE WORLD
Human beings always needed and believed to a power to trust and felt themselves in
confidence under that power. During the centuries, fire, water, sun, mountains,
totems gave to people a spiritual support. Today, communities are still looking for
trust under different believings. We want to see different and colorful views of these
differences.
We are waiting most fascinating images according to the Mevlana Jalal-ud-Din
Rumi’s principles which suggest not to see beauty but to see loveliness and his
thought about loveliness can take with soul, love and faith. In the sentence of big
philosopher Mevlana, which he told the tolarate, "Come, come again, whoever you
are, come! Heathen, fire worshipper or idolatrous, come! Come even if you broke
your penitence a hundred times, Ours is the portal of hope, come as you are."
In 2013, we want to collect different traditions of all believings in the world with all
details; temples, curches, mosques, totems, religional symbols, patterns, religional
ceremonies, religional festivals, traditions, praying forms, religional vows, religion
men, prayings, religional musics, dances... Everything belong to religion…
2. DOORS
Second subject of our 7th International Photography Competition for this year is
“DOORS”
The doors surely have big importance with the functions and meanings that they carry on them
according to the places they are used by different populations, cultures and religions as well as
in Turkish and İslamic Culture. Because, the doors are opened to hope, joy, sorrow, shortly to
life. Matured doors, which we don’t know how we will be replied when knocked, which we wait in
front hopefully to be welcomed and which we prayed as “ Oh my God, open auspicious doors for
me “ . The doors that water is poured after us to open our ways when we go to foreign lands or
to war fronts and the doors, got tired by witnessing and harms of nature and passing years.
Doors, as provides the safety of the household also sometimes informs about the wealth,
richness, magnificence of the owner. Sometimes reflecting modesty, sometimes open as wide
as possible and sometimes full of mystery.
Some doors are really masterpieces , so incapable to describe with their belts, knobs, locks
made of stone, metal, wood or plastics.
We are waiting for the photographs of our photographer friends from year to year, who took
photographes of producing people, got cool by fountains and water culture, finally the bridges
and stopped infront of doors; who knows what stories they have behind of them.
With different perspectives, from all over the world ...
SECTIONS:
Competition will be in two sections with subjects “RELIGIONS IN THE WORLD” and
“DOORS”.
For each section, photographs will be judge together color and BW.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The Salon is open to all photographers worldwide, amateurs and professionals, except
members of the exhibition committee and members of the jury. Participants must send
the photographs in digital form via e-mail to the mail address of
[email protected]
or you can send by post also as recorded on CD or DVD to the given address. Last date
for to send works is 27 September 2013. Entrants must own copyright of all submitted
images. By submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own. Images totally
created by using computer software or images without any photographic content will be
disqualified. Notifications will be sent by e-mail only. A member of TFSF will be on
charge during the organization.
SIZES OF WORKS:
Photographs sizes must be in minimum 2300 pixel, 300 dpi and in JPEG format.
The images must be frameless and there must not be a signature or a signal or date on
the images.The images must be sent together with the entry form. A maximum of 4
images may be submitted. The entrants must use English alphabet. The image names
must include the first letters of name and surname of participant, a code with 4 numbers
and image number.

A copy of the photos which are prized and take part in catalogue, will be kept in the
archive of Culture and Tourism Directorate of Konya. When it is required, the photos
will be able to use with the aim of a presentation by remarking the name of the
photograph possessor. Also we will not pay any copyright price. Using rights of
photographs will belong to owner and Konya Culture and Tourism Directorate
Management.
The photos which are awarded the prize or are held for exhibition, will be collected in
a catalogue and this catalogue will be send to all of the participants who pay the
entry fee.
The photos, awarded the prize, will take a part in the pages of Almanac- 2013 which
is a publication of TFSF.

ENTRY FORM:
The Entry Form must be submitted electronically. Any other form of entries (e.g. emails,
CD or prints) will not be accepted. A list of the entries received will be
published on the Salon Web Site. This Status list will be updated at least in a few
days. Please check the status list for your entries on the web site about 1-2 days
after sending.
