10.05 PREPARED EMERGENCY LANDING CHECK-LIST
S C/C – COMMANDER BRIEFING
NATURE OF THE EMERGENCY AND INTENTIONS
 TIME AVAILABLE TO PREPARE THE CABIN (synchronize watches)
 SIGNAL TO BRACE
SIGNAL TO REMAIN SEATED (if no evacuation is required. on ground
emergency only)
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS (for example,exits that may be unusable)
 ACKNOWLEDGE THE CAPTAINS BRIEFING
 ASK THE CAPTAIN WHO WILL MAKE THE INITIAL
ANNOUNCEMENT AND WHEN.
CABIN CREW PREPARATION (During SC/C – Commander Briefing)
 Cabin crew stop all activities
 Secure any equipment that is being used
 Wear uniform jackets.
 Take cabin preparation check lists
 Go to designated crew station standby the interphone ready for Purser's briefing.
 SC/C Briefs the cabin crew with I/C using the ‘’CONF Call’’ or ‘’All
Attendant‘’function on the interphone handset. If I/C is inoperative all crew members
shall come to the front galley
AFTER BRIEFING
 SC/C sets the cabin lights to’Bright’
 While applying galley preparation cabin crew shall lock and secure all
trolleys,standart unit,containers. Also the galley curtains shall be detached from its
location
 Lavatory doors shall be locked.
 Commander makes an announcement to the passengers.
 ‘’NO SMOKING and FASTEN SEAT BELT’’signs switch on.
 Preparations start immediately.
 Cabin crew shall use all the time that the commander gives properly.
 Cabin crew go to demonstration areas.
NOTE: During preparations when purser start announcements cabin crew shall listen
carefully,shall not distract the attention of the passengers and wait at the
demonstration areas. The Purser must monitor the time during the cabin preparation
announcements. Allow time for task to be accomplished, when the allocated time is
up, inform the cabin crew by announcing."Cabin crew return to demonstration
positions", "Finish preparations".

that it may shortly be necessary to make an emergency landing. For a safe
evacuation, listen carefully to the following instructions.

 Please remain seated and keep calm.
 Loosen your ties and collars.
 Put your seat upright, close your tray table, place your armrest down.
 Remove all sharp objects such as pens, broaches and dentures, put them
in your hand luggage.
 Take off your shoes.
 Place your hand luggage and shoes under the seat in front of you as far as
possible.

 Bend down, fold your arms under your knees.
 Now practice this position.

forward with the palms of your hands against the seat back in front of you
and press your forehead against the back of your hands.

 You must keep your seat belt fastened in this position until the
aircraft comes to a complete stop. Remember that there will be more
than one impact. When stopped, you will hear the command
“EVACUATE”, go to the nearest exit and move away from the
aircraft.
 Do not take any hand luggage with you as they may delay your
exit.

and on the ceiling (under the overheadbins). The path lights are
located through the aisle.

 In a few moments, we will be asking some of you to change seats to assist
us after landing. If there are any airline employees, police officers, fire
fighters or military personnel on board, please identify yourselves to a Cabin
crew member.
 To come to exits last.
 Obtain 3 ABP’s for
each exit.
 Move ABP’s to exit row
seats.

ABP – INSTRUCTIONS
When Does An ABP Open An Emergency Exit?
1. After the command “PASSENGER EVACUATION”
2. .....And in case the cabin crew member is incapaciated
HOW DOES AN ABP OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXIT?
1. Look outside (fire, smoke obstacles, etc.) if required block exit/redirect passenger
2. Secure yourself
3. Open emergency exit (type specific)
4. Pull manual inflation handle (if required block exit/redirect passengers)
5. Give commands for passengers
6. Assist/Rescue injured passengers
All Items Have To Be Repeated By ABP

 Last cabin safety check by S.C/C
 Advise Captain “Cabin Ready”.
 Dim cabin lighting.
C/C DUTIES
 Check doors armed.
 Cabin safety check completed.
 Window shades opened.
 Flash light, first aid kits, (if available)
medical kit, megaphone, ELT checked,
quickly reachable.
 Preparation completed, notify S.C/C
Go to assigned seat, fasten safety belt,
starts silent review.
