You have worked hard to become an ODTÜ student; we sincerely congratulate you on this
significant achievement.
The teaching-learning environment of ODTÜ is rated among the top ones in the university rankings
worldwide. During your studies at ODTÜ, your active participation in the social, cultural, artistic,
intellectual, and sports activities will contribute both to your own personal development, and to
the enrichment of our university.
An intensive and exciting period awaits you at ODTÜ. These years that we will be together will
pass very quickly, so it is important for you to live everyday at ODTÜ to the full. Hence, we invite

Registration
Registration Place : It will be announced at http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/
before the registration dates.
Registration Dates : September 19-23, 2016
Registration Hours : 9:00 – 12:00 and 13:30 – 16:30
Classes begin on October 3rd, 2016 however, students who cannot come for registration during
the registration period with a valid excuse will have the right to register until October 14th, 2016
at the latest. It is strongly recommended that you come to registration during September 19-23,
2016 so that you have a smoother registration process.
Additionally, after completing your registration you are supposed to take the English Proficiency
Exam held in the Campus in order to be exempt from studying one year English preparatory
school in the Department of Basic English before starting to your undergraduate program.

Access to Campus
If you are arriving at Ankara by plane, from the airport take the BELKO shuttle or EGO airport bus
into the city. The final stop of BELKO shuttle is at AŞTİ bus terminal. From AŞTİ you can get taxi
or mini blue shuttles called “Dolmuş” which are coming directly at ODTÜ.
ODTÜ Campus is also accessible with public transportation from Kızılay, Ulus and Ayrancı
districts.
The main entrance to the ODTÜ Campus is Gate A1 on Eskişehir highway. In addition to A1, the
gates A4 (from 100. Yıl district), and A7 (from Bilkent road) can be used to enter and exit Campus.
There are Ankara Municipality’s bus services (EGO 133), subway (Metro), and private “Halk”
buses for intra-city transportation. Detailed information about the routes and hours of EGO buses
and Metro is available on the following link:

Registration Procedure
The following documents are required for registration. If your documents are not in Turkish or
English, the translations of the documents should also be submitted. Please be aware that your
registration will not be completed unless you submit all the required documents listed below.
1. Original Exam Result (Submitted for the application)
2. Original High School Diploma
3. Original High School Transcript
4. Equivalence Letter: A letter certifying that your High School Diploma is equivalent to a Turkish
High School Diploma. Please obtain this document before coming for the registration. It can
be obtained from the Turkish Embassy in your country or the National Education Directorates
in the cities of Turkey. (In Ankara, you can apply to the following address: Ankara İl Milli Eğitim
Müdürlüğü, MEB Beşevler Kampüsü I Blok Yenimahalle) In order to apply for this letter, you
should submit your high school diploma, its translation, and your transcript showing all the
courses you have taken in High School, their grades and credit hours.
5. Passport and Its copy: Students with other than a Turkish citizenship should get a “Visa”
from the Turkish Embassy in their country. During ODTÜ registration, passports should be shown
to the International Student’s Advisors, and copies of the pages that include “identification
information”, “visa” and “the page with stamp showing the entry date” should be submitted.
Students who have been living in Turkey for at least one year with an Education Residence Permit
should give the copies of their Student Residence Permit. Students who have a diplomatic
passport or a “blue card” do not need to submit visa or residence permit.
6. 4 Color Photos: 4,5 x 6 cm biometric photos must have been taken in the last 6 months to
reflect your current appearance. Your face on the photo must be clearly visible and recognizable.
You are recommended to bring 12 photos since you need extra photos for dormitory applications.
7. Bank Receipt of the Paid Semester Tuition Fee: Tuition fees are paid to the banks just
before registration. The amount of tuition fees is stated on the following web site http://oidb.
metu.edu.tr/en/tuition-fee-amounts and also available on following pages. Do not pay tuition fee
in your country; it is easily payable on the campus.

Important Explanations
Registration as freshman: Students with an acceptable English Proficiency examination score
such as TOEFL or IELTS or those who have successfully passed the English Proficiency Exam
of ODTÜ will be registered as freshman. These students additionally need to do their interactive
registrations on September 28-30, 2016. Interactive registration dates can also be checked
from “Academic Calendar”. For more information about interactive registrations, you can visit
http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/general-information-about-interactive-registrations. You should select
the courses online and get your academic advisor’s approval during this period of interactive
registration.
Students with incomplete registration documents: Registration can only be completed when
you submit all the required documents. If your registration documents are not complete, you need
to bring the missing documents until the deadline of registration period: October 14th, 2016.
Former ODTÜ students (who have gained the right to register for a new department):
These students must withdraw from their previous department following the instructions outlined
at http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/registration-cancellation. These students should take their original
documents from the Registrar’s Office and submit them again for their new registration.
Student ID number: All students have a student ID number. Your number is written on the
acceptance letter you have received from ODTÜ. It will also appear on the ID card you will be
given after registration. This number will be used for all official procedures in your study at ODTÜ.
“On Leave” status: Students with a valid excuse (e.g. health, study abroad etc.) may be
granted an “on leave” status provided that the Administrative Board of their Faculty accepts
it (the Chairperson of DBE for students who will follow Preparatory Class, the Chairpersons of
Departments for those who will directly start as a freshman). Students must submit a petition with
a valid excuse and other related documents to their Department. However, the tuition fee should
be paid before making an application for “on leave” status and the registration process should be
completed. If those students want to secure their place at University dorms, Directorate of Dorms
should be informed about this situation to reserve their rights.
Students, who would like to be exempted from certain courses that have already been
taken: Students who have some courses already taken by them from ODTÜ or another equivalent
university may apply to be exempted from those courses if they meet the English proficiency
requirements. Students should submit a petition about it as well as a transcript to their Department
Chair before the end of the interactive registration period. The grades of such courses are not
counted towards the semester or cumulative GPA until graduation.

English Language Exams
The medium of instruction at ODTÜ is English. All students who wish to carry out their undergraduate
or graduate studies at ODTÜ have to certify their proficiency in the English language.

You must be at the exam place half an hour before.
For students who cannot take the exams on the above mentioned dates due to late registration,
additional exams are scheduled. Information about those exams will be given after registration.
1. English proficiency examination: Students who would like to begin their studies as freshmen
are required to take and pass this exam. Students who obtain 59.5 (69.5 for English Language
Teaching program) or more in this exam can register as a freshman. Successful students will
not study in English Preparatory Class for one year. Students who obtain 85 or above from the
English Proficiency Exam of ODTÜ are exempted with credit (with an AA) from the compulsory
English course ENG 101. Credits and grades for exempted courses will not be counted in the
semester’s Grade Point Average (GPA), but will be counted in calculation of the cumulative GPA.
2. Placement examination: All students, except for those who have a valid international English
Proficiency exam score and who pass English Proficiency Exam of ODTÜ, will take this exam.
The aim of this exam is to determine the students’ level of English knowledge and to group
them according to their levels. Students will be placed according to the results of the Placement
examination.
3. International examinations: You may also submit an internationally recognized English
Proficiency Exam result (TOEFL or IELTS) to start your freshman year. The validity of these exams
is two years. You should submit the original exam result during the registration. Since verification
procedure is implemented for your exam result, you need to be prepared for your username and
password to be used in online score report system of the related exam.

4. Former ODTÜ students who have left the University while studying at the Department
of Basic English: Students who registered to the Department of Basic English and who have
failed at the end of one or two academic years or who left the university without completing one
academic year and who get admitted again may register to the Department of Basic English for
one year, for one time only.
5. SUNY programs: English proficiency limits are different for SUNY Programs than for other
undergraduate programs. Minimum scores required for exemption from the English Preparatory
School are: ODTU EPE 65, TOEFL IBT 79 and IELTS 6.5.

Examination Places
Placement examination: It will be held at the School of Foreign Languages buildings. Names and
examination halls will be announced on the Bulletin Boards at the School of Foreign Languages
one day before the exam.
Proficiency examination: It will be held at different buildings at university. Names and places
will be announced on the Boards at the School of Foreign Languages and on the web page one
day before the exam.

Department of Basic English
(Preparatory Program)
The Department of Basic English aims to provide the students whose level of English is below
proficiency level with basic language skills so that they can pursue their undergraduate studies at
our university without major difficulty. To achieve this aim, the department runs a two-semester
intensive program placing emphasis on reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Students are placed in five groups according to their levels of English and have 12, 15, 20 or 25
class hours per week all through the academic year. To be a freshman, they are required not only
to reach a certain level of yearly achievement but also to be successful in the English Proficiency
Exam at the end of the year.
The Department of Basic English, with its lending library, various educational materials and tools,
computer and multi-media facilities, silent study rooms and services on the Internet, offers its
students several educational opportunities outside the class.

Following Registration
After completing your registration, you need to get your ODTÜ username and password that is
essential for your all online transactions during your education. During the registration, you will be
informed in detail about how to get username and password.
After getting username and password, you have to apply Student Identification Card (ID)
following the instructions at http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/student-id-cards. You will need this ID
card to enter the campus and to use any facility on the campus, such as the library, computer
rooms, swimming pool and other sports facilities.
During your stay in Turkey, you have to have a “Student Residence Permit”. First, fill in the
“International Student Information Form” during your registration and submit it to the International
Students’ Advisors. Visit International Students’ Office in about three weeks after your registration
to take this document and submit it to Provincial Directorate of Migration Management together
with other required documents mentioned on related webpage (http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/
residence-permit). Students first need to make an online appointment (from www.goc.gov.tr)
apply personally on the date and time mentioned. You should complete your application within
one month after entering Turkey and must extend the period of your Residence Permit when
it expires. Legal action will be taken against students who do not follow the above mentioned

Tuition Fees
The tuition fee amounts for 2016-2017 Academic Year have not been determined yet by the
ministerial cabinet. When it has been determined, it will be announced at the following page:

It is possible to make tuition fee payments via bank branches located at the Campus. The bank
branches providing this service at the Campus are: Akbank, Is Bank, VakıfBank, and Yapı Kredi.
Students should state their student ID number when they are making their payment. Please keep
the tuition fee receipt. Approximate tuition fee amounts for the Academic Year 2016-2017 are
listed at the table below.

Important Explanations
The Tuition Fee Office: It deals with tuition fee payments and other related problems. Students
who request refund can consult with this office. (Faculty of Arts and Sciences 2nd Floor)
The tuition fee control in registration program: Data on tuition fee payments is processed
online between the banks and ODTÜ. As soon as students make their tuition fee payments, this
information is received by the registration program. However, students are recommended to
keep the bank receipt. Students, who do not pay their tuition fee or do not pay the total amount,
cannot register, except scholarship students.
Scholarship students (Turkey scholarships, IDB and governmental scholarships) do not pay the
tuition fee. Students who are exempted from tuition fee should submit the related document
when they register. Please be aware that there is no refund for newly registered students
who cancel their registration.

Accommodation
New students may apply for a place in the dormitories as soon as they have completed their
registration. There is occasionally a waiting list for dormitory space. Those who cannot apply
during the registration days will lose points for late application and wait more to find available
room. Thus, early application is more advantageous. The accepted students list will be announced
on the boards of Directorate of Dormitories and its web page. However, it should be noted that
the available rooms are limited for international students. For further information please visit

IS 100 Course
Introduction to Information Technologies and Applications (IS100) is a must course that students
have to take in the first year of their undergraduate education. The aim of this course is to introduce
all ODTÜ students to the basic information technology concepts and applications and make them
both computer and information literate. These basic skills are expected to be used during their
undergraduate studies in their respective disciplines, as well as during their professional lives.
IS100 lectures are mainly conducted online. A number of face-to face classes are also provided
for the students who need more assistance. Face-to-face lectures are given in Computer Center
PC rooms. All the course materials are distributed via METU LMS (https://lms.metu.edu.tr/).

Dersler 03 Ekim 2016’da başlayacak olup önemli mazereti olan öğrenciler 14 Ekim 2016 tarihine
kadar kayıt yaptırabileceklerdir. Ancak, daha kolay işleyen bir kayıt dönemi geçirmeniz için 19 –
23 Eylül 2016 tarihlerinde kayda gelmeniz önemle rica olunur.
Ayrıca, kaydınızı tamamladıktan sonra, İngilizce seviyenizin yeterli olduğunu düşünüyorsanız
ve lisans programınıza başlamadan önce bir yıl süre ile Temel İngilizce Bölümünde okumak
istemiyorsanız İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavına girebilirsiniz.

Kampusa Ulaşım
Ankara’ya hava yolu ile ulaşacak öğrencilerimiz Esenboğa havaalanından EGO otobüsleri ve
BELKO servisleri ile şehir merkezine gelebilirler. BELKO servislerinin son durağı AŞTİ otobüs
terminalidir.
AŞTİ’den taksiyle ya da “Dolmuş” adı verilen minibüslerle doğrudan ODTÜ’ye
gelmek mümkündür.
ODTÜ Kampusuna toplu taşıma araçları ile Kızılay, Ulus ve Ayrancı’dan direkt ulaşmak mümkündür.
Kampusa ana giriş Eskişehir Yolu üzerindeki A1 kapısından yapılmaktadır. A1 kapısının yanı sıra
A4 (100. Yıl) ve A7 (Bilkent) kapıları da kampusa giriş için kullanılabilmektedir.
Şehir içi ulaşımda Ankara Belediyesinin otobüsleri (EGO 133), Metro seferleri ve Özel Halk
otobüsleri kullanılabilmektedir. EGO seferleri ve Metro ile ulaşımda saat ve güzergâh bilgisine

5. Pasaport ve Fotokopisi: Türk vatandaşlığı olmayan yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin ülkelerindeki
TC Diplomatik Temsilciliğinden “vize” almaları gerekir. Pasaport aslı kayıt sırasında görevliye
gösterilecektir. Kimlik bilgilerinin, vizenin ve ülkeye giriş tarihini gösteren mührün bulunduğu
sayfaların fotokopileri verilecektir. Türkiye’de en az 1 senedir öğrenim amaçlı ikameti olanlar,
İkamet Tezkeresinin fotokopisini verirler. Ancak, diplomatik pasaportu veya mavi kartı olan
öğrencilerden vize veya ikamet tezkeresi istenmez.
6. 4 Adet Fotoğraf: 4,5x 6cm ebatında biyometrik fotoğraf (fotoğraflar renkli, son altı ay içinde
çekilmiş, önden görüntülü, öğrenciyi kolaylıkla tanıtabilecek şekilde olmalıdır. Toplamda 24 adet
fotoğraf getirmeniz önerilir çünkü yurt başvurusunda da fotoğraf istenecektir.
7. Öğrenci Öğrenim Ücreti Makbuzu: Öğrenim ücreti kayıttan hemen önce bankalara
ödenmelidir. Öğrenim ücreti miktarları http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/katki-payi-miktarlari#uluslararasi
web sayfasında ve kılavuzun takip eden sayfalarında belirtilmektedir. Öğrenim ücretini ülkenizde
ödemenize gerek yoktur, ödemeyi kayıt için geldiğinizde kampüs içinde kolaylıkla yapabilirsiniz

Önemli Açıklamalar
Birinci sınıfların ders kayıtları: Kayıt yaptıran öğrencilerden TOEFL veya IELTS sınav sonucu
sunan veya ODTÜ İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavında başarılı olan ve birinci sınıfa kayıt yaptırmaya hak
kazanan öğrenciler ayrıca etkileşimli kayıt tarihlerinde derslere kayıt yapacaktır. Etkileşimli kayıt
tarihleri 28–30 Eylül 2016’tir. Tarihler “Akademik Takvim” başlığı altında belirtilmiştir. Etkileşimli
ders kayıtlarına ilişkin bilgilere http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/kayit-hakkinda-genel-bilgiler adresinden
ulaşılabilir. Bu süreçte derslerinizi seçmeniz ve akademik danışmanınızın onayını almanız
gerekmektedir.
Eksik belgeli öğrenciler: Kaydınız ancak bütün gerekli belgeleri teslim ettiğinizde tamamlanır.
Eksik belgeleriniz varsa, bunları teslim edebileceğiniz son tarih 14 Ekim 2016’tir.
ODTÜ öğrencisi iken tekrar başvurarak yeniden kabul alan öğrenciler: Bu öğrencilerin http://
oidb.metu.edu.tr/kayit-sildirme-islemleri linkinde yer alan bilgileri takip ederek eski bölümlerinden
kayıt sildirmeleri ve eski öğrenci dosyalarındaki orijinal belgeleri alarak yeniden teslim etmeleri
gerekmektedir.
Öğrenci numarası: Her ODTÜ öğrencisinin bir öğrenci numarası (ID) vardır. Size gönderilen
mektupta “Öğrenci Numaranız” yer almaktadır. Bu numara kaydınızı tamamladıktan sonra sizlere
verilecek olan öğrenci kimliğinizin üzerinde de mevcuttur. Bu numara ODTÜ’deki öğreniminiz
süresince her türlü resmi işlemde kullanılacaktır.
Kayıt dondurma (izinli sayılma): Geçerli mazereti olan öğrenciler (sağlık, yurt dışında öğrenim
vb.) tekrar üniversiteye dönmek üzere kayıtlı bulundukları birime başvurarak ilgili Yönetim
Kurulu kararı ile izinli sayılabilirler (İngilizce hazırlık okuyacak öğrenciler Temel İngilizce Bölümü
Başkalığına, doğrudan birinci sınıfa başlayacak öğrenciler kayıtlı bulundukları bölüm başkanlığına).
Bu durumdaki öğrencilerin izin gerekçesini belirten dilekçe ve belgelerini izin başvurusu sırasında
sunmaları gerekir. Yasa gereği öğrencilik statüsünün kazanılması için önce öğrenci öğrenim
ücretinin ödenmesi ve kayıt işleminin tamamlanması gerekir. Yurtta kalacak olan öğrencilerin izin
alması durumunda yurt haklarının saklı tutulması için Yurtlar Müdürlüğü ayrıca bilgilendirilmelidir.
Önceki programlarından ders saydırmak isteyen öğrenciler: Daha önce ODTÜ’de veya
başka bir üniversitede öğrenim gören öğrencilerden bu programlarda aldıkları derslerden geçer
not alanlar, yeni yerleştirildikleri bölümün programında yer alan aynı veya eşdeğer derslerden
muaf sayılmak üzere başvuru yapabilirler. Başvuru, birinci sınıfa kayıt yaptırmadan önce yapılır.
Bu öğrencilerin, dilekçe ve not belgelerini (transkript) etkileşimli kayıt haftası içinde Bölüm
Başkanlığına vermeleri gerekir. Bu şekilde muaf olunan dersler, müfredatta yer alan ilgili ders
yerine sayılır ancak mezuniyete kadar dönem ve genel not ortalaması hesabında yer almaz.

Üniversitemizde eğitim dili İngilizce olduğundan öğrencilerin dersleri ve laboratuvar çalışmalarını
takip edebilecek ve İngilizce sınavlarına katılabilecek düzeyde İngilizce bilmeleri zorunludur.

*Sınav saatinden yarım saat önce sınav yerinde bulunmanız gerekmektedir.
Yukarıda belirtilen tarihlerde kayda geç gelme nedeniyle sınava giremeyen öğrenciler için
ek sınavlar yapılmaktadır. Bu ek sınavların tarihleriyle ilgili olarak öğrenciler kayıttan sonra
bilgilendirileceklerdir.
1. İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavı: Doğrudan programlarının birinci sınıfına başlamak isteyen öğrencilerin
bu sınava girmeleri gerekmektedir. İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavında başarılı olan (minimum 59.50,
İngilizce Öğretmenliği için minimum 69.50 puan alan) öğrenciler birinci sınıfa kayıt yaptırabilirler.
Sınavda başarılı olduktan sonra (birinci sınıfa kayıt yaptırmaya hak kazandıktan sonra) vazgeçmek
ve İngilizce Hazırlık sınıfına devam etmek mümkün değildir. İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavında 85 ve
üzeri not alan öğrenciler lisans programındaki zorunlu İngilizce dersi ENG 101’den kredili olarak
(AA notu ile) muaf olurlar. Muaf olunan ders için verilen AA notu ve kredisi öğrencilerin “genel not
ortalaması” na katılır, “dönem not ortalaması” hesabına katılmaz.
2. Seviye Tespit ve Yerleştirme Sınavı: İngilizce Yeterlik belgesi sunan öğrenciler dışındaki
tüm öğrenciler Seviye Tespit ve Yerleştirme Sınavına girecektir. Bu sınav Hazırlık Sınıfında eğitim
görecek öğrencilerin İngilizce düzeylerini saptamak ve bu düzeylere göre gruplandırmak üzere
yapılmaktadır.
3. Uluslararası Sınavlar: Kabul edildiğiniz programa doğrudan başlamak için uluslararası tanınırlığı
olan bir (TOEFL ya da IELTS gibi) belge sunabilirsiniz. Bu sınavların geçerlik süresi iki yıldır. Sınav
sonucunuzu kayıt sırasında sunmanız gerekmektedir. Sınav sonucunuz için doğrulama işlemi
yapılacağından sunacağınız sınavın online sonuç görüntüleme sistemi kullanıcı adı ve şifrenizi
kayda gelmeden hazırlamanız gerekmektedir.

4. Eski ODTÜ Öğrencileri (İngilizce hazırlık sınıfında iken ayrılanlar): Temel İngilizce Bölümüne
kayıt yaptırıp bir veya iki akademik yılsonunda başarısız olan ya da akademik yılı tamamlamadan
ayrılan ve yeniden yerleştirilen öğrenciler bir defaya mahsus olmak üzere, yalnızca bir akademik
yıl için Temel İngilizce Bölümü Hazırlık Sınıfına kabul edilir.
5. SUNY Programları: SUNY programları için İngilizce yeterlik puanları diğer lisans programlarından
farklıdır. SUNY ortak lisans programlarında Hazırlık sınıfından muafiyet için gereken minimum
puanlar; ODTÜ İYS 65, TOEFL IBT 79 ve IELTS 6.5’tir.

Sınav Yerleri
Seviye Tespit ve Yerleştirme Sınavı: Yabancı Diller Yüksekokulu (YDYO), Temel İngilizce Bölümü
binalarında yapılacak, sınava girecek öğrenci isimleri ve sınav yerleri sınavdan önceki gün YDYO
binalarında duyurulacaktır.
İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavı: Üniversitenin değişik binalarında yapılacak ve sınava girecek öğrencilerin
isimleri ve sınav yerleri sınavdan önceki gün YDYO binaları ve YDYO İnternet sayfasında ilan
edilecektir.

(Hazırlık Programı)
Temel İngilizce Bölümü’nün amacı, İngilizce bilgisi yeterli düzeyde olmayan öğrencilere temel
dil becerilerini kazandırarak üniversitemizdeki lisans eğitimlerini daha kolay südürebilmelerini
sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla okuma, yazma, dinleme, konuşma becerilerine yönelik iki dönem süren
yoğun bir program yürütülmektedir.
Öğrenciler İngilizce düzeylerine göre beş gruba ayrılmakta ve bütün akademik yıl boyunca
haftada 12, 15, 20 ya da 25 saat ders görmektedirler. Birinci sınıfa devam edebilmek için hem
yıl içi programı belli bir başarıda tamamlamak hem de yıl sonundaki İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavı’nda
başarılı olmak zorunludur.
Temel İngilizce Bölümü, kütüphanesi, türlü eğitim malzemeleri ve araçları, bilgisayar donanımı,
görsel-işitsel gereçleri, sessiz çalışma odaları ve sanal ortamda sunduğu hizmetlerle öğrencilerine
sınıf dışında da geniş eğitim olanakları sağlamaktadır.

Kayıt İşlemlerini Tamamladıktan Sonra
Kaydınızı tamamladıktan sonra öncelikle öğrencilik hayatınız süresince tüm online işlemlerinizde
kullanacağınız kullanıcı kodu ve şifresini almanız gerekmektedir. Bu işlem için kaydınızı yaptığınız
sırada detaylı olarak bilgilendirileceksiniz.
Kullanıcı kodu ve şifrenizi aldıktan sonra http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/ogrenci-kimlik-kartlari linkinde
yer alan bilgileri takip ederek Öğrenci Kimlik Kartı (ID Card) başvurunuzu yapmanız gerekecektir.
Kimliğinize, kampuse girerken ve kampuste kütüphane, bilgisayar odası, yüzme havuzu ve diğer
spor aktiviteleri gibi herhangi bir tesis/hizmetten yararlanırken ihtiyaç duyacaksınız.
Türkiye’deki kalışınız süresince Öğrenci İkamet İzni almanız gerekmektedir. Bunun için kayıt
esnasında ikamet bilgi formunu doldurarak Uluslararası Öğrenci Danışmanlarınıza veriniz.
Yaklaşık üç hafta (Birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin zarfları, ancak etkileşimli kayıtlar ve danışman
onaylarından sonra verilecektir) içinde Rektörlük binasındaki Uluslararası Öğrenci Ofisine gelerek
ikamet bilgi zarfınızı almanız gerekmektedir. Bu zarfın yanı sıra ilgili internet adresinde (http://oidb.
metu.edu.tr/oturma-izni-0) belirtilen belgelerle birlikte İl Göç İdaresi Müdürlüğü’ne başvurmanız
gerekmektedir. Başvuru için öncelikle elektronik ortamda (www.goc.gov.tr adresinden) randevu
alınmalı ve başvuru, belirtilen gün ve saatte şahsen yapılmalıdır.
Başvurunuzu, Türkiye’ye giriş tarihinden itibaren bir ay içerisinde yapmanız ve ikamet izninizin
süresi dolduğunda gecikmeden uzatma yaptırmanız gerekmektedir. Aksi takdirde hakkınızda yasal

Kayıt programının öğrenim ücreti ödeme kontrolü: Öğrenim ücreti ödemelerinde bankalar
ve ODTÜ arasındaki veri alışverişi çevrimiçi yapılır. Öğrenciler bankalara ödeme yaptıkları anda
ödeme bilgileri kayıt programına yansımaktadır. Ancak gerekçeli durumlarda öğrenim ücreti iadesi
işlemlerinde öğrenim ücreti dekontunun sunulması zorunlu olduğundan öğrenim ücreti ödeme
dekontunun bir kopyasının öğrenci tarafından saklanması önerilir. Burslu öğrenciler hariç öğrenim
ücretini ödemeyen veya eksik ödeyen öğrenciler kayıt yapamazlar.
Burslu öğrenciler (Tükiye burslusu ve IDB burslusu olanlar, hükümet bursu alanlar) öğrenim ücreti
ödemezler. Öğrenim ücreti muafiyeti olan öğrencilerin belgelerini kayıtlar sırasında sunmaları
gerekmektedir. Lisans Programına yeni kayıt yaptıran ve kayıt sildirmek isteyen öğrencilerin
öğrenim ücreti iadesi mümkün değildir.

Konaklama
Yeni kayıt yaptıran öğrenciler yurtta kalmak istedikleri takdirde kayıtlarını tamamladıktan sonra
başvuruda bulunabilir. Yurtlarda odalar için bekleme sırası oluşturulabilir. Kayıtlar sırasında
başvuruda bulunmayan öğrencilerden “geç başvuru puanı” düşülmekte ve bu öğrenciler yurtlara
daha geç yerleşmektedirler. Yurda kabul edilenlerin listesi Yurtlar Müdürlüğü ilan panolarında ve
internet adresinde duyurulacaktır. Uluslararası öğrenciler için kısıtlı sayıda oda vardır. Ayrıntılı

IS 100 (Introduction to Information Technologies and Applications) dersi zorunlu bir derstir ve her

lisans eğitimi için gereken çalışmalarında gerekse iş ve kişisel yaşamlarında kullanabilecekleri
temel bilgisayar bilgilerini vermektir.
IS 100 dersi genellikle elektronik ortamda (online) yürütülmektedir. Fakat daha ayrıntılı ve yüz
yüze görüşme ihtiyacı bulunan öğrencilere bu olanak da sağlanmaktadır. Yüz yüze dersler Bilgi
İşlem PC odalarında verilmektedir. Ders materyaline ilişkin ayrıntılı bilgi METU LMS aracılığıyla
sağlanmaktadır (https://lms.metu.edu.tr/).
