The Nederman FlexFilter series has been expanded
with the new FlexFilter EX, which is fully
compliant with the ATEX directives. The sturdy
construction with ATEX-approved components, New
electrically shielded installations and components
makes the FlexFilter EX capable of safely
handling explosive materials such as composite dust.
• Control for prolonged lifetime
A Running Time Equalizer sets the running
time between the two filters ensuring it is
divided equally, which prolongs the system’s
lifetime.
• Automatic filter cleaning
and disposal
FlexFilter EX has a control unit for
automatic filter cleaning and disposal during
operation. The cleaning process is highly
effective as well as energy efficient.
• Energy efficient operation
The operation and motor speed of the
vacuum units (RBU alt VAC) are constantly
controlled. Only the vacuum unit that is
needed at any given moment is running.
Delivered ready for installation
with two filter units, safeguarding
maximum uptime. Each section
supports the other, making the system
capable of running during service and
maintenance.

Easy access and safe storage
The new vacuum hose reel Series 881 EX offers
a convenient vacuum supply and is out of the way
when not in use. The reel is equipped with automatic
damper.

The new generation Series EX is approved
for use in ATEX-zone 22, Category 3D.

In general a vacuum system is used only part-time of
the working day. With an automatic Nederman TAV
valve on each extraction outlet the valve closes and
the airflow ceases immediately as the tool stops. Only
those outlets that are in operation utilize the vacuum
plant capacity.
The results are:
• Reduced operation cost
• Reduced investment due to the system
can be “down-sized”
• Less noise
• Less extraction of heated or cooled air.
The pneumatically operated valves are made of conductive
material for use in explosive applications.
