The family lived at 5230 East North Street in Indianapolis, and James Westbay was an engineer on the CCCStL Railroad. Dorothy Westbay was a student at Arsenal Technical High School during the years 1934-1937. She was interested in singing, sang occasional church solos, and won a prize in singing at a musical contest held at Indiana University. She also took part in at least one high school play. Sources: Materials in collection City Directory, 1935 SCOPE AND CONTENT This collection consists of one scrapbook, containing clippings, programs, notes, and other memorabilia from the three years, 1934-1937, when Dorothy Westbay was attending Tech. She seems to have been interested in almost all phases of school life, particularly dramatics and music. The collection as a whole gives some idea of one female student's life and interests.
