GfK Turkiye 2010 Photography Competition
Winners Announced at a Joyful Party at garajistanbul
Theme: COURAGE
GfK Turkiye organized the 2010 Photography Competition between May and September 2010. All
GfK Turkiye employees, clients, all partners and service providers were invited to the competition. This
year’s theme was: COURAGE. 184 photos competed this year.
The Jury and Selection; The jury is composed of Ms. Zeynep Boneval Atılgan / Hepsi-Hikaye. Ms.
Nihal Kafalı and Mr. Çetin Ergand / Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University-Photography Departmant and Mr.
Metehan Ozcan a professional photographer and designer. The jury worked with diligence and
selected 27 photos in total. 23 of them were selected for the exhibition. 3 of them were awarded as
the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners. The 4th photo was selected as the Jury Special Award winner.
The Exhibition and Celebration Party; An exhibition and
joyful party is organized on 29th
September 2010 Wednesday at garajistanbul, an old garage used as a theatre/performance center.
300 GfK Turkiye employees and clients attended the party. 23 photos and 4 winners were exhibited at
the party venue. The winners received their awards.
Awards ; SONY, HTC, Saklikoy Country Club and Photo World Magazine sponsored our
competition and their representatives received plaques. 1st winner was rewarded with a SONY DSLR –
A450Y camera. The 2nd winner received an HTC Tattoo Smartphone and 3rd winner was rewarded
with a one day weekend stay at Saklikoy Country Club. All the award winners also received a 1 year
membership from the PhotoWorld Magazine.

The photos are still exhibited in the GfK Turkiye offices.
GfK Turkiye is organizing the competition every year. Also a GfK Turkiye 2011 Calendar will be
designed and produced with the selected photos. We aim to expand the borders of the competition to
the GfK global network in 2011.
