Pedestrians and construction workers

the construction site of Atatürk Bridge.
Several small boats and a large ship are
sailing beneath. In the background, the
neighbourhoods of Şişhane and Galata,
dominated by Galata Tower, can be seen.
The picture is part of documentation on
the final stages of the construction of
Atatürk Bridge. The foundation was laid
on 29 August 1936 and the bridge opened
on 29 October 1939.
