İTÜ FEN-EDEBİYAT FAKÜLTESİ FİZİK BÖLÜMÜ SEMİNERİ “Dye Sensitized Solar Cell On Zno Nanowires, Nanorods And Nanoflowers Structures” Dr. Bayram Kılıç Australia Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), The University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, 4072, Australia The growth of ZnO nanostructures such as nanowire, nanoflower and nanorods was carried out on FTO substrate. After growth of ZnO nanostructures were used as the wide band gap semiconducting photoelectrode in dye sensitized solar cell (DSSCs). Solar conversion efficiencies and incident photon-to-current conversion efficiencies (IPCE) were investigated as depend on surface morphology of ZnO nanostructures. The highest solar-to-electric energy conversion efficiency of 3.1 % and IPCE of 34% was obtained by using the ZnO nanoflowers/N719 dye/I-/I-3 electrolyte. In addition, Zn nanowires show solarto-electric energy conversion efficiency of 2.1% and IPCE of 25% while ZnO nanorods show solar-to-electric energy conversion efficiency of 1.59% and IPCE of 18%.
