Kapı deyip geçmeyin, bir bitişi simgeler hatta yeni bir başlangıcı.. Kimi zaman önünde durursunuz; kavuşma olur, umut olur, kimi
zaman arkasında; bekleyiş olur, heyecan olur... Bazen vuslata açılır, bazen de ayrılığa; bazen mutlulukla çalınır, bazen öfkeyle çarpılır
kapılar!
Bir yerden başka bir yere geçiştir... Mekanların da, şehirlerin de, insanların da kapıları vardır elbet. Baba ocağından ayrılırken hayata
açılır mesela... Korkutur o ilk adım ama atılır, farkında olmadan çocukluğun kapısını kapatmışsınızdır aslında. Sen çıkarsın bir dönemi
açmak için, ardında kalanlar sessizce bir devri kapatırlar. Bazen uzun bir ayrılığın sonunda kavuşmak için beklenir, gözü yolda, kulağı
seste.. Bir an önce açılsın istersin. Açılsın ve getirsin bekleneni.. Bazen de son kez, günü gelmeden geçilemez bir kapının eşiğinde
uğurlarsın o çok sevdiğini, hiç görmemek üzere, gidenin alemi değişir, sen kalakalırsın içindeki acıyla...
Kapı dediğin mahremdir, sırdır.. Hangimiz hesaplaşmamışızdır ki kendimizle kapalı kapılar ardında? Gönlümüzün kapısını kapattığımız
da olmuştur, ardına kadar açtığımız da... Gözyaşlarımızı silip avunduğumuz da olmuştur, kahkahalarla çınlattığımız da...
Şehirlerin kapıları vardır; bütün ihtişamıyla seni çağıran, içindeki hayatı hayretle önüne seren... Yaşadıkça benimsediğin, sevdiğin,
yerleştiğin... Ya da bir türlü alışamayıp, bir an önce çıkmak istediğin.
Ekmek kapımız vardır mesela, binbir emekle eşiğinden girdiğimiz. Yıllarımızı her gün biraz daha eksiltirken kah karşılığından
gururlanıp, kah pes ettiğimiz... Şu iki kapılı handa, gece gündüz gittiğimiz, geceyi gündüz ettiğimiz. Nihayetinde rızkımız,
geçmişimiz, geleceğimiz...
İnsanların kapıları vardır; kiminin tam kapalıdır, kilitlidir hatta, istesen de giremezsin... Çalıp döndüğün olmuştur, arkasında buyur
edeni yoktur işte... Belki sürgülemiştir ardından kimse açamasın diye, belki de çoktan çıkıp gitmiştir, gideceği yere. Kiminin kapısı
aralıklıdır, geçer gidersin içinden, çoğu zaman farketmeden... Kiminin kapısı güler yüzle açılır, kiminin kapısı günlerce çalarak... Bir
sefer girebilirsen eğer, çocuk kadar saf bir güzellik bulduğun da olur, nefreti, kini görüp hayal kırıklığına uğradığın da.
Kapılar gizemdir... Her açtığında yenilerine gebe... Her girdiğin yolun sonunda yeni bir seçim için açılmayı bekleyen...

Evening time...
Cemal Sureya’s poem “Unopened doors” came in my mind, while the life is being as much as a song, a cup of coffee and a peace
felt in front the Maiden’s Tower... Do not underestimate the doors, just calling as only doors, the doors represent a finish and even
a start... Sometimes, you stay in front of a door, which opens to a hope and brings your beloved one in front of you and sometimes,
you stay behind of a door, which becomes an expectance and excitement... Sometimes, it initiates a reunion, and sometimes, it
becomes the first of a separation; the doors are sometimes ringed by happiness and slam shut by anger sometimes!
The doors represent a passing from one place to another environment... For sure, every place, every city and every people has a
door. For example, the door opens to the life, while separating from the family home... Even this first step can be frightening, but
anyhow taken. Actually, we have closed the door of our childhood, while being not aware of it. You walk out the door to open a new
era in your life and the others, your left behind, close a passed era silently. Sometimes, you wait to reunite with your beloved one
after a long separation behind a door, looking at the roads and listening to the noises listening to the noises... You become eager
that the door will be opened as soon as possible. You want the door to be opened and to bring the expected one in front of you...
Sometimes, you see your beloved one off at a door’s threshold and you may not pass that door’s threshold, before the expected
day comes and some times, you pay your final respect to your most beloved one into the eternity and your beloved one passes into
the ethereal realm and you cannot see your most beloved one once again and you remain in sorrow behind your beloved one...
The doors represent our confidence and secrecy… Is there anybody, who did not reckon with him/herself behind the closed doors?
Sometimes, we also close the door of our heart and sometime open our heart as wide as we can... We had times, when we wipe
away our tears to console ourselves, and we had also times, when we fill the place with our noisy laughter...
Even the cities have doors, which are calling and attracting you with their entire magnificence and glorious and rolling out red
carpets for you and revealing the life inside it... The doors, which you have internalized, beloved and settled, as long as you live... Or
anyhow you could not get accustomed to some doors and you want to go out of it as soon as possible.
For example, we have bread doors, through which we pass in with great efforts… Which decreases years from lives, which
sometimes makes us proud and which sometimes brings us on our knees... This public house having two doors, where we go night
and day and where we turn the night into the day... Finally, our livelihood, our past and our future...
People have doors, some of those doors are fully closed, locked and you cannot get inside of them, even if you wish to enter...
Sometimes, you knock those doors, then return back, as there is not anybody, who invites you inside... Maybe, those doors were
barred, so that nobody can open the door from outside or maybe, the one behind the door has left this place long before. Some
doors are slightly open and sometimes, you pass through these doors, while mostly not being aware of it... Some doors are opened
with a smiling face and some doors are only opened, after ringing it days long... Once you have entered inside through the door,
you find sometimes, you find a beautifulness as pure as a child and sometimes, you may also see the hate and grudge and be
disappointed. The doors are secrecy... Whenever you open a door, it always opens to new expectations and possibilities... The doors
are waiting everywhere and at the end of every ways, to be opened to a new selection...
If you ask, what about the remaining parts of life?
