 Course Outline :
1. Introduction and Basic Definitions.
2. Across and Through Variables, Power and Energy Ports, One-Port and Two-Port Pure
Elements.
3. Modeling of Physical System Components, Impure Elements.
4. Basics of Linear Graphs, Modeling of Physical Systems via Linear Graphs.
5. Transfer Functions and State Models of Dynamics Systems from System Graph.
6. Review of Time and Frequency Responses of First and Second Order Systems, Higher Order
Systems, Roles of Poles and Zeros in the System Response, Reduced Order Approximate
Models.
7. System Identification: Time and Frequency Domain Techniques.
 Homework: About eight weekly homework sets will be assigned during the semester. You
