It is manufactured using Fluoropolymer resins that ensure outstanding weathering performance and excellent resistance to the damaging effects of solar spectrum of sunlight. PH80 series powders are guaranteed for 30 years and meet the requirements of AAMA specifications 2605-02 and Qualicoat Class 3. In contrast to the solvent-based liquid paint of the PVDF generation (which have to be applied as two- or four-coat systems and need baking at an object temperature of around 240 ºC), İBA KİMYA’s new Hyperdurable technology offers a number of attractive benefits. Due to the extreme durability requirements, organic pigments cannot be used. Evaluations by our laboratory on a case to case basis are necessary. Please note that: All RAL colors and other custom colors can be formulated with PH80 series. However, due to the limited long term durability of the organic pigments, durability of the final products may decrease 10-20%. Organize Sanayii Bölgesi 06930 Sincan / Ankara TÜRKİYE PH80 Application Guide Surface Preparation All surfaces should be degreased and pre-treated for optimal performance. Aluminium Yellow chromate or green chromate Application Procedure and Equipment 1- PH80 series powder coatings charging properties are optimized when powder is free-flowing and moisture-free. Aged or compacted powder may require pre-conditioning for several minutes to fluidise evenly. 2- If storage room temperature is lower than the application area, powder coatings, which are hygroscopic, should be acclimated in unopened containers prior to adding into the spray hopper. For optimum performance, it should be applied and stored at air-conditioning area. Storage temperatures should be kept below 30 °C. 3- Powder should not be stored in hoppers for long periods of time. If moisture condensation occurs, fluidize powder to dry-out or replace moisture-laden powder with virgin powder. 4- Powder coatings are finely ground particulates. Respirators or dust masks should be used by workers exposed to powder in order to avoid dust inhalation. 5- Compressed air to the gun must be oil and moisture free. 6- Silicone should not be used in application area. 7- For box feeders, ensure probe is fully inserted in powder and operated as per manufacturer’s recommendations. 8- Contact points should be maintained to ensure metal-to-metal ground. 9- Apply by electrostatic spray. Relative humidity should be 50-60% for corona system, lower than 40% for tribo system. 10- Cure as per recommendations outlined above. 11- Reclaim-to-virgin ratios should be carefully monitored to maintain spray consistency. 12- Sieving powder before adding to hopper eliminates potential clumping or foreign matter. 13- Test for cure of the coating by impact test. Care and Maintenance PH80 should be regularly washed with warm water and mild liquid detergent, followed by a fresh water rinse to maintain the attractive appearance of the powder cured film. The use of abrasive cleaners is not recommended, nor is the use of active organic solvents. Health and Safety The SDS is an integral part of using this product as it contains information on the potential health effect of exposure, personal protective equipment needed. 3 3 Powder-in-air concentrations of greater than 20 gr/m to 70 gr/m can be ignited by flame or strong 3 3 electrical discharge. Powder concentrations below 20 gr/m or above 70 gr/m are too sparse or too dense to support flame or combustion. Properly engineered application equipment is designed to keep powder-in-air concentrations well below this range. All equipment should be inspected periodically for proper operation and electrical ground. Hangers, hooks, racking system, and conveyor should be cleaned to eliminate powder build-up. Organize Sanayii Bölgesi 06930 Sincan / Ankara TÜRKİYE PH80 Precautions and Limitations - - As a result of possible wide application variations and stoving conditions, PH80 may show variation, between İBA Kimya Powder Coatings prepared samples and production applied material. Therefore, it is the applicator and/or their customer’s responsibility to ensure the product conforms to their requirements. For optimum corrosion performance ensures recommended dry film thickness is obtained. Transport and Storage Packaging Flashpoint Shipment Storage Conditions 15-20 kgs.
