YÜZME PROGRAMI
08 Eylül ve 17 Eylül 2015 tarihleri arası 1-5 sınıf öğrenciler için Yüzme Programı ayarlandı. Öğrenciler için kısıtlı yerimiz
oldugu icin eve gönderilen notları lütfen tamamlayıp tekrar öğretmeni vermeniz gerekiyor.
EBEVEYNLERİN ANKETİ
Okulun hizmetini geliştirmek için neler yapabileceğimizi bildirmeniz bizim için çok önemlidir. Velilerin rastgele seçilen
dağıtılıcaktır, 31 Temmuz Perşembe günü kadar anketi geri göndermenizi rica ediyoruz. Anketi geri getiren tüm veliler,
çekilişden 1 hediye verilicek.

HOTDOG ÖĞLEN YEMEĞİ
17 Ağustos Pazartesi günü Hotdog öğlen yemek günüdür. Yemek 1 hotdog, meyve suyu ve 1 süpriz. Sipariş formunuzu
ve doğru miktarda parayı (5 dolar) zarfa koyarak okula en geç 6 Ağustos Perşembe sabaha kadar gönderirniz. Geç verilen siparişler kabul edilmeyecktır.
Öğrenciler ve öğretmenler desteğini göstermek için grup takım renkleri giyinmeleri istiyoruz.
Saat 1.15 den 1.45e kadar, yarım saat 6 eğlence dolu aktivitiler olucak; Egzersiz, dans, resim, masa oyunlar, bilgisayar
ve dışarda oyunlar. Herkese iyi eğlenceler.

The School swimming program has
been offered to students between Grades 1 to 6.
Parents, please return “expression of interest” notes
ASAP to secure a spot for your child. Limited spaces
available. This program will be conducted from the
8th September to the 17th September, 2015
inclusive.
2013 Parent Opinion Survey
Please remember to return your Survey by
Tuesday 31st July , if you received one.
Many parents have already returned their Survey and we thank them very much. A random draw will be
held for all the parents who returned their surveys and a
special gift will be given from the Principal.
Earn & Learn - WOOLWORTHS
From Wednesday 15th July to Tuesday 8th September,
we are collecting Woolworths Earn & Learn Stickers. Place
the Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker onto a Woolworths
Earn & Learn Sticker Sheet and when it’s complete, the Sticker Sheet
can be dropped into the Collection Box here at the school office area.

We are currently taking prep enrolments for 2016.
To complete an enrolment form you must have your child’s
Birth Certificate
School Entry Immunisation Certificate Medicare card
Doctor’s name, address and phone number , name and phone
number of 2 emergency contacts (other than the parents).

APPOINTMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL
If you do not have an Immunisation Certificate, we cannot enrol your
child.
Interpreters
Interpreters in Turkish, Arabic and Vietnamese are available to enrol your
child, but you must make an appointment.

MHPS ANNUAL WRITING COMPETITION
Late term 2 saw all students from MHPS participate in our annual writing
competition. Students worked on writing pieces in their classrooms, and a student who showed
both effort and excellence was chosen as a prize winner from each home group. Congratulations to all students for
participating and producing excellent writing pieces.

Our names are Deniz, Savana and
Natalie. We are here to talk to you
about the issue of orangutans and
palm oil. Sumatran and Bornean
orangutans are dying because of
palm oil plantations being
planted in their habitat. They completely destroy it. Palm oil is a
good oil which contains Vitamins A
& E and grows 9 times faster than
any other vegetable oil.
Hi my name is Ahmed
and this is my 3D
Monster. I made it in
Visual Arts with Mrs
Contessa. We were
learning about 3D
shapes and objects. First we did a sketch of our Monster we wanted to
make and them I made it. I used plasticine for the body, matchsticks,
goggle eyes, beads, pipecleaners and feathers. His name is “Hawks”.

Unsustainable Palm oil is in 80% of products that we use
everyday. By using sustainable Palm oil which is grown in
vacant land we will help not only the environment but the
orangutans home. We wrote letters to companies which
either use 100% sustainable Palm oil, or have made promises to use sustainable Palm oil or don’t use it at all. We
wrote to Arnott’s, Thomas Chipman and Unilever. We all
received replies. We congratulated them all for using
100% sustainable Palm oil but asked them to clearly label
that on the packaging . In the letter to Unilever we asked if
they have kept their promise to use 100% sustainable Palm
oil in the future. We hope that you shop wisely to buy
products that use sustainable Palm oil and ask companies
as well .
