Excise duty tax
According to Petroleum Market Information System Directive, third paragraph of Article 7, companies who needs to correct
their previous statements, may do this in surveillance of an authorized personnel. Because of the corrections on past data,
there may be mismatch between previous and following reports. These mismatches are being tracked and reduced to
minimum by the Authority.
SUMMARY
EXPORTS
• Gasoline exports decreased 31 % with respect to the previous month to 162.722 tons.
• While the aviation fuels exports of the refinery, distributor and bunker delivery license owners
increased by 8,3 % to 245.175 tons2, marine fuel exports decreased by 29,7 % to 96.022 tons.
• In the first seven months, Gasoline exports increased by 2,7% to 1.447.418 tons.
• Aviation fuel exports increased by 18,4% to 1.248.329 tons in the first seven months with
respect to the same period of 2011. Meanwhile marine fuel exports increased by 30,1% to
1.428.158 tons in the same period.
DOMESTIC SALES3
• Domestic gasoline sales increased by 8,2 % to 189.839 tons and diesel sales increased by 3,7 %
to 1.524.395 tons.
• Domestic gasoline sales of the first seven months decreased by 6,9% to 1.055.835 tons while
the Diesel sales increased by 7,1% to 8.856.576 tons in comparison to year 2011.
PRICE MOVEMENTS
• Average gasoline retailer sales price increased by 0,5 % with respect to the previous month to
4,27 TL/l.
• Average diesel retailer sales price increased by 1,4 % with respect to the previous month to 3,74
TL/l.

PETROLEUM MARKET
IMPORTS
• Crude oil imports decreased by 22 % with respect to the previous month, accounting a total
of 1.454.383 tons.
• Diesel imports, decreased by 3,9 % with respect to the previous month, accounting a total
of 882.426 tons.1
• In the first seven months of 2012, Crude oil imports decreased by 1,8% to 10.641.938 tons
with respect to the same period of 2011.
• In the first seven months of 2012, Diesel imports increased by 9,9% to 5.048.593 tons with
respect to the same period of 2011
SECTOR REPORT
PRODUCTION
• While the total gasoline and diesel production of the refinery license owners increased
by 2,2 % with respect to the previous month to 1.104.169 tons, total production of the
petroleum products decreased by 3,2 % to 1.920.988 tons.
• In the first seven months of this year, Refinery license owners’ production level increased
by 0,8% to 12.230.878 tons with respect to the same period of the previous year.
