seascape stole 2015 © Kieran Foley 2015 A simplified version of the pattern that appeared in Knitty Summer 2008 Knit on US 8/5mm needles with 3 skeins/630m/687yds Rowan Kidsilk Haze 70% Super Kid Mohair, 30% Silk Shade #582 Trance Finished measurements after blocking: 157cm/60in x 56cm/22in Approximate gauge after blocking: 15 sts/21 rows = 4" in lace pattern M1 is worked as follows: insert left needle from front to back under the horizontal strand which lies between the stitch just worked, and the next stitch; knit into the back of this loop CO 79 (or 15 + mult of 32 for a wider stole) loosely Work 9 rows of 1x1 rib: RS rows: k2, (p1, k1) rep to last st, k1 WS rows: p2, (k1, p1) rep to last st, p1 Purl 1 Row Work all rows of chart or written pattern once - the chart and written pattern have RS rows only - all stitches of all WS rows are purled Work rows 3 - 38 of chart or written pattern 7 times, or to desired length Finish with WS row 38 Work 9 rows 1x1 rib as above -
