Our annual allowance was risen by 5-times at the end of 9 years. 15.02.2012 TCDD’s Current Situation, Developments and Future Projects ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE LAST DECADE Ankara‐Eskişehir High Speed Line was inaugurated High Speed Line between Ankara‐Eskişehir was inaugurated on 13 March 2009. 4 million 494 thousand passengers were carried between March 2009 and September 2011. TCDD’s Current Situation, Developments and Future Projects ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE LAST DECADE Number of Services and Passengers of Ankara‐Eskişehir YHT was increased 250,000 Number of YHT Passengers 200,000 150,000 100,000 2011 2010 50,000 2009 Number of passengers carried by YHT was increased by 10 times. Share of TCDD which was 8% before was increased to 72%. GOVERNMENT and MUNICIPALITY HAVE BEEN CORPORATED IN İZMİR SUBURBAN. İSTANBUL ANKARA İZMİR İZMİR • 79 km suburban has been constructed between Aliağa-Cumaovası. • Services have been put into operation in March 06, 2011. • It is expected to carry 33 millions Cumaovası passengers in 2011. The project works between Kayaş and Yerköy are ongoing. Yenişehir-Bilecik: Project works are ongoing. : 106 km (Bursa-Bilecik) Operating speed : 250 km/h Journey time Ankara - Bursa : appr. 2 hours 15 min. İstanbul - Bursa appr. 2 hours 15 min. Length : 624 km (Ankara-İzmir) Operating speed : 250 km/h Journey time : Ankara – İzmir appr. 3 hours 30 min. Length : 235 km (Sivas-Erzincan) Operating speed : 250 km/h Journey time : Sivas-Erzincan TCDD’s Current Situation, Developments and Future Projects appr. 2 hours PROJECTS Van Lake Ferry ANKARA ESKİŞEHİR TATVAN VAN KONYA Conventional Line High Speed Line • Procurement of two rail ferries and constructing of additional facilities were tendered. Ferries, each with a capacity of 50 wagons, will be used for Lake Van Crossing. • Total project cost is 116 million TL. Istanbul‐Kars‐Tbilisi‐Baku, Nusaybin‐Iraq, Kars‐Nakhchivan‐Iran, Kavkaz‐Samsun‐Basra, Istanbul‐Aleppo‐Makkah & Istanbul‐Aleppo‐North Africa transport corridors are being developed.
