None Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to make students communicate with people having impaired hearing by using Turkish Sign Language alphabet, basic vocabulary and grammar structures. Learning Outcomes LO1. To get general information about sign language, LO2. To be able to communicate in daily life by using sign language, LO3. To be able to give information about him/herself, LO4. To be able to ask questions by using simple question structures. Course Contents General Information About Sign Language, Hand and Finger Gestures, Expressing Numbers, Introducing yourself, Asking Questions, Expressing Affirmative and Negative Sentences, Understanding the Other Side Weekly Detailed Course 1. Week General Information About Sign Language Contents (yarıyıllık dersler için arasınav ve final sınavları dahil edilerek 16 haftalık, yıllık dersler için arasınav ve final sınavları dahil edilerek 30 haftalık) 2. Week Hand and Finger Gestures, Functions of Gestures 3. Week The Use of Single and Double Hand 4. Week Expressing Numbers and Measures of Height, Weight etc. 5. Week Introducing Yourself, Giving Information about Yourself. 6. Week Expressions about School, Family, Friends 7. Week Asking Yes-no Questions, Open-end Questions 8. Week Midterm 9. Week Expressing Affirmative and Negative Sentences 10. Week Time Expressions 11. Week Expressing Feelings, Thoughts and Preferences 12. Week Expressions of Daily Life Activities 13.
